IF I'M CURT WITH YOU IT'S BECAUSE TIME IS A FACTOR. I THINK FAST, I TALK FAST AND I NEED YOU GUYS TO ACT FAST IF YOU WANNA GET OUT OF THIS: Executive producer Paul Lieberstein's top choice to replace Steve Carell on "The Office"? Toby wants Harvey Keitel.

  1. That would work.  Gary Cole would also be awesome.

  2. He won't do it.  Yes, he did "Life On Mars," but that was one of those roles that was designed to be one day of shooting out of a 5-7 day shoot schedule, while this part would require a pretty full time committment.  I'm still fond of the idea of promoting from within, with either Daryl or Kelly getting a promotion.  (And assuming Kathy Bates' show fails this season, I can see her being a regular or semi-regular next season.)

  3. How would you spin that character?  I don't think we want Michael Scott 2.0, but I know Bingo Bob could deliver that (Lumberg).

Well, let's not start [inserting my favorite The Wolf line from Pulp Fiction] quite yet.

That said, it's not like he's been in a ton of films recently, though, and it's not like he's had a lead or even a meaty supporting role (i.e., significant screen time, not a glorified cameo) in anything notable since, um, Cop Land?  City of Industry? From Dusk Til Dawn?  So he might be looking for something that's more of a time commitment and pays well to boot.  And if you get QT to sign off on the character actually BEING Winston Wolfe?  Holy crap, that would be awesome.

Promote Daryl and bring in a big name actor to take over his warehouse job.
