WAIT A MINUTE, THEY KEEP USING THE SAME ACTOR IN EVERY MOVIE. WHAT SORT OF A CHEAPSKATE OUTFIT IS THIS? Toy Story 3 comes out this Friday and, as they do every year ahead of a new Pixar release, the Chronicle heads over to the Emeryville campus and writes pretty much the same article about what an oddball place it is to work. But every year, I read it.

  2. I can't quite wrap my brain around the idea of working in a place where everyone actually enjoys being there. That must be kind of awesome.

A former high school asymmetrical girlfriend of mine worked there for a while.  Every time I bump into her, she has awesome Pixar swag.

In a weird crossover from our Big 12 discussions, this is somewhere that Texas A&M shines.  They have about 30 former Aggies working at Pixar who come out of the school's great Visualization Lab.  For those in the know on Aggie history and traditions, you'll find shout outs in the Pixar movies.  For example, Sully in Monsters, Inc and Sarge in Cars.

I mean in that there were asymmetrical opinions about the relationship.  Not in her appearance.

I attended a wedding in California in 1997 or so and was seated next to a nice (cute, single) Jewish boy who worked at Pixar. Alas, I lived in NY. Still see his name in the credits...
