HER FATHER WAS THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY: Actor and political activist of shifting stripes Ron Silver has died at 62. As we discussed in the Celebrity Death Conference Room on the 39th Floor of ALOTT5MA Plaza (on the other side of the floor from Kim's desk in the Celebrity Baby Name Division), when you look at Silver's filmography, he's one of those people whose fame outstrips his achievements. Of course, roles of note include playing Alan Dershowitz in Reversal of Fortune, political consultant Bruno Gianelli in The West Wing, and winning a Tony for his role in Speed-The-Plow. My favorite may be legendary failed pilot Heat Vision and Jack, in which he played "Ron Silver," an evil government agent. The credits are available on YouTube.
